Privacy & Cookies Policy
Version 1.0 | Effective date: 14 September 2026
Who handles your information
The Tactical Nation, Inc. operates TNGO. Our company address is 1111b South Governors Ave STE 51027, Dover, DE 19904, US. Send privacy questions and requests to privacy@tngotv.com, without needing a TNGO account, or write to that address marked “Privacy”. Other queries go to content@tngotv.com. Report copyright and other content violations to copyright@tngotv.com.
This policy covers TNGO's website and installable web experience, accounts, viewing, Academy, Studio and enquiries. Independent websites and providers may explain their own processing in their privacy notices. An external link does not make TNGO the operator of that website.
Information we collect and why
| Information | Source and purpose |
|---|---|
| Account and authentication information, including account ID, email, name/display name, session and access records | You and our authentication service; to sign you in, manage and recover access, and protect accounts |
| Organisation/channel memberships, role assignments, invitations and authority information | You, authorised administrators and workspace activity; to control access and administer collaboration |
| Course and enrolment references, lesson progress percentages, completion state and related event times | Your learning actions; to deliver course access and save progress |
| Video requests, playback/device authorisations and technical records such as network and device information associated with service requests | Your browser/device and our delivery systems; to stream content, restrict access, secure the service and diagnose faults |
| Creator/instructor profiles, submissions, media, filenames/metadata, rights declarations, permissions and review records | You or an authorised contributor; to process submissions, review rights and quality, and publish expressly approved material |
| Enquiry name, reply email, country where supplied, subject, message, selected recipient, confirmation and status records | Your form or correspondence; to receive, handle and route the enquiry as described at collection |
| Course order and payment references, email/account, amount, currency, status and event records | Checkout and payment events; currently to test commerce and entitlement handling. Real payment services require the relevant purchase disclosures before use |
| Support, privacy and violation reports, relevant evidence, decisions and correspondence | You, affected parties and authorised reviewers; to respond, investigate, enforce rules and comply with applicable obligations |
We use necessary information to provide requested services, protect them, administer agreed relationships and meet applicable legal obligations. Where a particular use requires consent, we obtain that consent separately. Required form fields are identified at collection. If you decline information needed for a request, we may be unable to provide the associated service. Please do not send unnecessary sensitive information, credentials or private access links.
Recipients and public information
We use Clerk for account authentication and Cloudflare services for application hosting, database/storage and media delivery, including R2 and Stream where the relevant workflow uses them. Stripe currently supports test-mode payment workflows. Authorised Google Drive connections provide source material for selected read-only import workflows, not permanent video delivery. Providers receive information needed for the functions they perform and may process service-related information under their own applicable terms and notices.
Authorised TNGO staff and scoped reviewers access information needed for their responsibilities. Enquiry information may be routed to the business recipient identified in the enquiry flow. A submission receipt confirms receipt, not a guarantee that an external recipient has read or answered it. We may disclose necessary information to advisers, affected parties in a rights or dispute process, or authorities where law permits or requires it. A qualifying copyright counter-notice includes identifying information that must be forwarded under the applicable process.
Published creator content and agreed credits are visible to their intended audience. Private uploads, supporting rights documents and account records are not made public merely because an upload passes review. Do not include another person's information in a submission without authority or another lawful basis.
Service providers may process information in the United States and other countries where their systems or authorised personnel operate. Our Delaware address does not mean every processing activity occurs in Delaware or solely in the United States. Where applicable law requires a particular transfer safeguard, it must be in place for that processing.
Cookies, local storage and installed-web caching
Our browser experience uses cookies and related storage for authentication, entry preferences and operational recovery. Storage duration depends on the technology and browser settings.
| Technology | Function and persistence |
|---|---|
| Authentication cookies, including Clerk session cookies | Maintain and refresh account sessions; expiry is controlled by the authentication service and session configuration |
| Entry confirmation in session storage | Remembers the 18+ entry confirmation during the browser session; it is not identity verification |
| Invitation information in session storage | Holds an invitation reference during redemption and removes it through the relevant completion/error paths |
| Studio intake and upload references in local storage | Help avoid duplicate submissions and recover interrupted workflows; completed/cancelled workflows remove references where supported, while abandoned references may remain until browser storage is cleared |
| TNGO service-worker cache | Stores installation icons and a generic offline page. It does not provide offline storage of accounts, private courses or videos; old cache versions are removed during service-worker activation |
Your browser can restrict or clear cookies and storage. Doing so may affect sign-in, invitation redemption, upload recovery or installation features. TNGO's application does not currently implement an automatic response to browser Do Not Track signals. Do Not Track is distinct from legally recognised opt-out preference signals; send related questions or opt-out requests to privacy@tngotv.com. Where applicable law requires automatic recognition of a signal, a manual request is not a substitute.
Third-party services may receive technical identifiers and usage information when you use their authentication, media or payment features, and their processing may include information collected across other services. This policy does not represent that all provider processing is anonymous or confined to one website. Browser controls may not stop all server-side records or provider processing.
Acceptance of terms, an entry confirmation or an enquiry permission is not consent to unrelated advertising, marketing or disclosure of identifiable viewing history. Any optional tracking or disclosure requiring a separate choice must be presented with that choice before activation. Information requests and withdrawal of consent can be sent to privacy@tngotv.com.
Retention, security and deletion
Retention depends on the purpose and the records involved. Account and membership records support active access and closure; learning records support course access and saved progress; enquiries and support records support handling and follow-up. Media and rights records support the agreed licence, publication history and dispute handling. Order records support reconciliation and applicable legal requirements. Violation and security records support investigation, enforcement and lawful preservation.
We assess retention using the duration of the relationship, outstanding requests or disputes, licence commitments, security needs and applicable legal requirements. Information should not be retained indefinitely merely because it was once collected. We restrict access according to assigned responsibilities and use private-media access controls, but no system can guarantee absolute security.
You can request deletion at privacy@tngotv.com. We assess the request and any lawful exceptions, including records necessary for transactions, rights disputes, security or preservation duties. Removal from active use does not necessarily remove every retained backup immediately. Restricted backups remain subject to their retention lifecycle, and applicable deletion instructions must be reapplied when a backup is restored. We explain relevant exceptions rather than promising an instant purge from every system.
Your requests and choices
Contact privacy@tngotv.com to request access, correction, deletion, a copy of information, withdrawal of consent or an applicable opt-out. Depending on the law that applies to you and our processing, you may also have rights concerning sale/sharing, targeted advertising, certain profiling or sensitive information, and to use an authorised agent or appeal a refusal. We do not require a TNGO account to submit a request.
We verify identity and authority proportionately, ask for clarification when needed and respond within applicable legal time limits. If we cannot fulfil a request, we explain the reason and any available appeal route. Send a privacy appeal to privacy@tngotv.com with the decision reference. You may also contact the relevant regulator. Exercising applicable privacy rights will not result in unlawful discrimination.
If optional marketing is sent, you may unsubscribe through the message or contact privacy@tngotv.com. This does not stop necessary account, security or requested service communications. Account closure requests can also be sent to content@tngotv.com.
Age and policy changes
TNGO's eligibility policy is 18 or older. If you believe we hold a child's information contrary to that policy or applicable law, tell privacy@tngotv.com. We assess the circumstances and take required action; an entry screen alone does not eliminate children's privacy obligations.
We identify updates by version and effective date and provide notice of material changes through the service or relevant account communications. Where changed processing requires fresh consent, we obtain it before carrying out that processing.
